About Claire

As most good stories do, it all started with a dog. When Claire got a dog in 2015 who needed special attention to reinforce positive behaviors, the answer was obvious: find a trainer, and work with the pup. 

After working with highly skilled trainers on the behaviors of her own dog, Claire came to understand the necessity of balanced learning for dogs. What works for one dog will not work for another. What an owner deems important is not always the same. Skills can be adjusted and used in varying combinations in order to receive different, positive results. 

Then, in 2017, Claire got her dog, Dragon. A dog that is incredibly high drive, Dragon’s needs were different from any of Claire’s previous dogs. It was clear that Dragon needed more—and was capable of so much. 

Together, Claire and Dragon learned about the importance of balance in training, and establishing foundations. With a strong foundation of baseline skills, a balance of pet needs, owner goals, and important boundaries can be combined. This combination, in turn, offers a goal-oriented, personalized training experience for pets and their owners. 

With a tool belt filled with a large range of trainable skills, a deep understanding of dogs, and a passion for the trade, Claire offers what dogs and their owners need most: someone who knows what it’s like to start at the very beginning. While training a dog can seem like a long, arduous journey, having the right trainer makes each step smooth along the way.
